Replies (22) . It turns out. HDR will only enable if your Graphics Card or Motherboard has HDMI 2.0 or newer that supports HDR10. If you're using DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 Adapter. It won't enable HDR10. Because, the Adapter use DisplayPort 1.2. Which means DisplayPort 1.2 does not support HDR10.
Hi karl, you probably have it set up right. My tv and ps4 are both set up for hdr and 4k but depending on what I am doing when I press the info button on the tv remote, I see different things. So on my Amazon Fire HD, I see 1920x1080p on the menu, but when I play something that supports ultraHD it shows 3840x2160 - same with the PS4 pro. But it is not until I launch something on the playstation that supports HDR that I see 'HDR' on-screen when I press the info button. There's not that much that supports it, Uncharted 4 (with the update) and Horizon: Zero Dawn do. I also believe the Youtube app on PS4 supports it but when I use it, I do not see the HDR label on the info screen so I'm not too sure about that!
